Diego de La Veiga

Diego Machado and Hugo Veiga co-lead AKQA’s São Paulo office as Creative Directors. The pair joined the agency in 2014 and have since led Visa’s digital marketing efforts for the World Cup and created the world’s first music video that demands your attention for recording artist Usher and music streaming platform TIDAL.

After being recognized by Ad Age in 2013, along side with Hugo Veiga, as “Creatives You Should Know”, the duo was named the Most Awarded Copywriter and Art Director at the 2013 Cannes International Festival of Creativity. They won a record 23 Lions for five different projects, including Latin America’s first Titanium Grand Prix for Dove Real Beauty Sketches. The work has since become the most-watched branded film of all time on YouTube with more than 165 million views, and TIME magazine named it the best commercial of 2013.
